Power outage causes forfeit...

Our 4v4 team suffered a big setback on the TWL 4v4 Invitational League tonight. The first bad break was when we lost Blitz 20 minutes before match time. We started the match against PECK on JRTC_Farm down one teammate, but we were still determined as we like the map. Unfortunately our area in south central Delaware experienced a fairly severe thunderstorm at match time and our power and cable shut down. Pyro and I were able to reconnect, but Bigguy's cable remained down.

Just a clarification, this was not scored a true forfeit but a loss - in case anyone is looking at the record and is confused. Round one had begun (although no shots fired as I recall) when the power and cable dropped. We had no power for approx 1-2 minutes, then my cable was down for a long period. The power went out for half an hour or so shortly after. We did NOT no-show.

Yeah, when I posted the score, I showed it as a 0-12 loss even though the match effectively was not played. We DID show up and began the 1st round, we just dropped 2 minutes into the game and could not continue. While we effectively forfeited all 12 rounds, we did not lose all 12 rounds in the match as it wasn't played. A No-Show would give us zero points but a loss gives us one point.

I too live in Delaware(Hockessin, or wilmington).

I got the power outage 2 minutes before the match started and wasnt able to play. I just learned today that you guys had to forfiet because of the same power outage.

Thats pretty cool that you guys are from DE too, I dont know many people from DE that play this game.

Hey Flyer! We have 6 members from Delaware, all in the central state area (near Dover). Worked a little against us last night! Lost power briefly, then cable followed by power going out for half an hour or so. What timing!!

yea, very bad luck. i was stupified when 2 minutes before the match i lost my power/cable.
