The hunt for the Time-Lost Proto Drake

A lot of you know I've been hunting this bad boy down for a few days now. I thought some of you might be interested in keeping track of how I do in case some of you may want to do it as well at some point.

For those who don't know how this works, here is a little background (none of this is confirmed, just speculated from a lot of people). Time-Lost is a rare monster that circles around in The Storm Peaks. It's said to share a spawn time and flight paths of the other rare dragon in The Storm Peaks, Vyragosa. This means they can't both be alive at the same time, and if you kill one, the other won't spawn for the same duration of the original. Vyragosa is said to spawn every 6 hours or so (some people think more, some think less). Which means if everything thus far is true, if you kill Vyragosa, Time-Lost won't spawn for at least 6 hours since they share a spawn. This means when Vyragosa spawns, it has a chance to be Vyragosa, or Time-Lost, however, people believe that the chance for it to be Time-Lost is much lower than Vyragosa, about 1 in 16 (is what I've been told). So if all of this is true, Time-Lost has a 1 in 16 chance every 6 hours to spawn. Whether this is true or not, I have no idea, no one really does, GMs won't release this information.

I've been mostly soloing it since I have a lot of free time, but a good friend of mine has been helping me when he can. So far, between the 2 of us, we have seen and/or killed Vyragosa 7 times. To be exact, we killed it 4 times, and saw it dead 3 times. I think it's been about 6 days or so, I've lost track to be honest. I camp it for about 8-12 hours a day, stopping if I see or kill Vyragosa, since once he's dead, neither will spawn for at least another 6 hours (or so they say).

I didn't bother to take screen shots of the 3 that were already dead (I will from now on though, I didn't think I would be out here this long to care enough), but I did take screen shots of the 4 we killed.

I'll update with more screen shots if I get them. Hopefully there will be no more Vyragosa, just 1 Time-Lost. =)

Update #2 - Killed Vyragosa again. This makes #9. I had to steal this one from a DK, and as soon as I killed it, he skinned it, so there is no body, but I took a screenshot of the combat log.

Update #3 - Found Vyragosa dead. Even though I didn't get the kill, this makes #10.

Update #4 - Found Vyragosa dead again. Actually, she popped up for me at the exact same time a pally snagged her. He just aggroed, didn't tag it, so I could have dotted it and stole it, but I didn't see the need, I already killed it 7 or so times. If this was the real TLPD though, you better believe I would have stole it. Oh yeah, a horde tried to kill him while he was killing Vyragosa, so I popped down and killed the horde for him, idk why really, felt like the right thing to do. This makes #11.
