That's correct, that is what the hardware was eventually upgraded to.

Here is what they used pre-upgrade.

I don't see how that's remotely realistic Beren; you have to have opposable thumbs to use an abacus and hamsters don't have them.

Blizzard is way behind on some things but you obviously didn't read about their cloning program. They have created hamsters with opposable thumbs! Unfortunately they are not using them for the computing aspect. The hamsters are the new game developers. In fact, it was a hamster who balanced out the Ret paladins! That same hamster is now taking a look at the weak warlock class.
